AMERICAN TAXPAYER DOLLARS TO INDONESIA

Facing one of the largest federal budget deficits in the history of this country, thousands of children without medical insurance and thousands more living in poverty, the U.S. somehow finds money from somwhere to support the Indonesian military.

Funny how the Christian conservatives are surprisingly silent about Bush's support for a military that deliberately stood by and did nothing while scores of Christians in Indonesia were slaughtered and raped.

The message sent by Bush could not be clearer: it is ok to cut funding for medicaid, public transportation (Amtrak) and welfare for the less fortunate in America but it is imperative that we fund an Indonesian military that is guilty of human rights abuses in East Timor. Conservatives rule!!!
