CHRISTIAN HYPOCRISY HOLDS NO BOUNDS

Pat Robertson has just endorsed Rudy Giuliani. The man who has warned that America risks the wrath of God because of its tolerance for gays has endorsed a man who is a strong supporter of gay rights and lived with a gay couple after his divorce.

There are truly no limits to Christian hypocrisy. In his speech, Robertson said that "the overriding issue before the American people is the defense of our population from the blood lust of Islamic terrorist." How quickly things have changed. Not too long ago, these crazy religious nuts were saying that gay marriage was the most important issue facing Americans. Furthermore, no matter what the most important issue at hand is, it does not hide the fact that Giuliani has zero experience when it comes to dealing with Islamic fundamentalists.

According to Robertson, the 2nd most important issue facing Americans is eliminating the federal deficit and reducing wasteful spending. Which phase in the bible did Jesus instruct us to preach macroeconomics alongside the Word of God?

Robertson conveniently and deceitfully chose to leave out the fact that Giuliani is a proponent of abortion rights. Instead, he chose to emphasize that Giuliani has promised that he will appoint strict constructionist judges in the mould of Scalia. This despite Giuliani having a stellar record of appointing Democrats to the bench during his time as NY mayor.

Pat Robertson is nothing more than trailer trash. The sad thing is that there are still plenty of Americans willing to heed the nonsense that he spews on a daily basis.
