MY FIRST 13 MILE RUN

Completed my first ever 13-mile run this morning in 1 hr, 58 mins 5 secs @ 9:05 min/mile. Half marathon in 2 weeks.

SINGAPORE ARMED FORCES - FIGHT IN BUILT UP AREA (FIBUA)

This is pretty neat video clip that I chanced upon on YouTube that describes the complexities of a FIBUA operation.

There is a greater emphasis on FIBUA - short for Fight in Built Up Area - in military operations around the world given that the greatest challenges faced today by society stem largely from rogue organizations like Al-Qaeda who seek to perpetrate an extreme ideology. Given that it does not possess a structered military like a nation does, Al Qaeda operates in civilian neighborhoods and often seeks refuge in residential buildings. Hence, there is a greater need for military personnel to be skilled in the art of FIBUA when confronting these terrorists in their hideouts.
